Seoul (Kyongsong) is the capital of South Korea, on the Han River.
Seoul is the historic capital of Korea, established by the Yi dynasty in the 14th century.
It is the centre of a densely populated farm region, with food- processing, textile, paper and machinery industries. Its Yellow Sea port is the more important industrial centre of Inchon, while Seoul is also a railway centre.
